Peking, January 8, 1907. THE monthly summaries of events in China not reported in separate despatches from this Legation have contained summaries of the monthly balance-sheets" of the Hankow-Szechuan Railway Company.

I now have the honour to transmit to you herewith translation of a Financial Statement issued by the Company for the whole period from the opening of the lists to public subscription in January 1904 to the 17th October, 1906.
